Prices are charged in South African rand. A Free Quick Check that finds nothing does not mean a seller is safe, and no report gives a “safe” or “scam” verdict. The reports show you what public sources say, so you can decide.

How AdUncovered researches a seller for your Comprehensive Report
Is it right for you?
Choose the Comprehensive Report when…
Comprehensive suits you if
- your order hasn’t arrived, a refund is refused or the sale seems misleading
- the seller uses several websites or accounts: you can share up to 10 links
- you want the full costs, payment and refund terms researched
- a lot of money is at stake and you want us to look back 3 years
- you want to know who would receive your payment
The Quick Report may be enough if
- you want one seller and their offer checked before you pay
- you have up to 5 links to share
- the past year of public information is enough for you
What you submit
What to send for your Comprehensive Report
Give the details you have and say what you’re unsure about. You don’t need every answer.
- Your email address (entered twice) and country of residence
- The seller or business name, account or handle, who they claim to be, and where you saw the offer
- What is offered: the product or service, the advertised price and important promises
- Your main concern and the questions you want answered
- Up to 10 links to investigate: the seller’s websites, social media pages, adverts or marketplace listings (helpful, but not required)
- If you’ve already paid: when you paid, the amount and currency, the payment method and the name of who you paid; what you expected and the promised delivery date; what actually happened; and the dates of your messages and refund requests, with the seller’s replies
Text only, no uploads. Type or paste relevant wording from adverts and messages. Do not include passwords, full card or bank-account numbers, ID numbers or unnecessary private information about other people. What you tell us is treated as a research lead, not as verified proof.
What we research
What the Comprehensive Report researches: the seller, the offer and your purchase
We research the specific seller and their offer and, where it applies, your own purchase, whether you suspect a scam, possible fraud or false advertising.
- Business identity and connections: who the seller is, related businesses, their connection to the website or listing, and anyone identifiable who would receive your payment.
- Warnings and official records: regulator notices, public scam reports, court orders and trading restrictions. Court orders and trading restrictions are included however old they are, and we check whether they still apply where we can.
- Customer experiences: complaints, reviews and repeated patterns about delivery, product quality, refunds and support. Reviews of the seller are kept separate from reviews of a product or a platform.
- Advert versus the real offer: the advertised claims compared with the published details, including the product or service, price, currency, product options and conditions.
- Full costs and terms: extra charges, subscriptions, repeat payments, cancellation conditions and refund policies.
- Delivery and after-sales service: delivery promises, reports of non-delivery, support and other customers’ refund experiences.
- Your purchase: we build a timeline from what you tell us and compare the promises, payments and later messages with the public evidence.
- Your questions and other concerns: we focus on your priorities and include any other serious concerns we find.
We usually look at the past 3 years. You can send up to 10 public links, but we follow the evidence, so your report isn’t limited to 10 results.
Your PDF shows evidence that supports and contradicts each point, a link to every source, the date we found it, and any gaps or pages we couldn’t access. What you told us is always shown separately from what we checked independently. It gives you facts to weigh up, not a verdict, and it cannot get your money back.
What a Comprehensive Report looks like
A Comprehensive Report puts your account and the public record side by side

Your purchase, as you told us
You paid a R4,500 deposit by EFT on 18 September 2026 to an account in the name of “B. Mokoena”, after an advert promised confirmation within 48 hours. You emailed on 22 and 29 September and received no reply.
Who receives payments
The seller’s website names “Bluewave Getaways (Pty) Ltd” as the operator. No public source we found connects the account name you paid to that company.
Customer experiences
Five complaints published between March and September 2026 describe deposits paid without booking confirmation. Two say a refund was later received; three say there was no response.
Full costs and terms
The published booking terms say deposits are non-refundable within 30 days of travel. The advert you supplied does not mention this condition.
Could not be established
Whether your booking was ever recorded by the seller could not be established from public sources.
This fictional excerpt shows the format only. Real reports depend on the seller, your questions and the public sources available. See the full fictional Comprehensive Report sample (PDF) for the complete report structure.
Limits you should know
What a Comprehensive Report may not be able to establish
- Public sources can be incomplete, out of date or contradictory. The report says when they conflict.
- Without distinctive identifiers, a seller may be hard to tell apart from similarly named businesses. Uncertain matches are labelled as uncertain.
- Private profiles, closed groups and pages that require signing in cannot be researched.
- “No result found” and “source unavailable” are reported as different outcomes, never as a clean bill of health.
- What you tell us about your purchase is a research lead. We can’t see private messages, bank records or the seller’s internal systems.
- The report provides Search Results, not a verdict, opinion, recommendation or trust score. It is not legal advice, does not recover money and does not guarantee the outcome of a complaint or dispute.
No website?
A Comprehensive Report for sellers on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or marketplaces
Many sellers only trade through a social-media account, a WhatsApp number or a marketplace listing. You can still request a Comprehensive Report: give the seller’s name and account or handle, the channel where you found them, the advert wording and any public link you have. The research looks for public information that matches those identifiers.
Content behind a sign-in, in private groups or in direct messages cannot be researched. The fewer distinctive identifiers available, the more likely some questions will remain unanswered.
New here?
We’re new. Check us the way we’d check a seller.
AdUncovered is a new service, built ahead of the Black Friday and festive shopping season to help people check before they pay. A recently registered website is one of the signals our reports point out, so here are the facts you can check about us.
Who operates AdUncovered
Sweet Muse (Pty) Ltd, company registration number 2025/325070/07, registered on 16 April 2025. You can confirm the registration through the CIPC’s BizPortal (a free account is required to search).
The website’s age
The domain aduncovered.com was registered on 21 September 2026. Automated trust tools usually rate websites this new with caution. That reflects the site’s age, which we would point out about any seller too.
Payment and refunds
Payments are processed by PayFast, so we never see your card details. Research starts as soon as payment is confirmed. Once the research has been carried out, a refund isn’t available for a change of mind or because a report has few or no findings. See the Refund Policy for the cases where a refund does apply, such as duplicate charges.

- You review your answers and the full price before paying. Checkout is processed securely through PayFast in South African rand.
- Research starts once payment is confirmed. Delivery time depends on the information available and whether human review is needed; we email you if it is.
- We email you a private link when your report is ready. Download it whenever it suits you. After 7 days the link stops working and the download copy is deleted, so save your report.
- Once research has been carried out, the payment isn’t refundable for a change of mind or because a report has few or no findings. See the Refund Policy.
Questions about the Comprehensive Report
Can AdUncovered get my money back?
No. We research and organise the public evidence. We don’t contact the seller, your bank or the authorities for you, and we can’t recover money.
Can I share the report with my bank, payment provider or a legal adviser?
Yes, the report is yours to share. A clear, source-linked record may help you explain your concerns, but we can’t guarantee that another organisation will accept it or act on it.
Can a Comprehensive Report help after a Black Friday or festive season purchase goes wrong?
Yes. If an order from a Black Friday or festive season deal hasn’t arrived, a refund is refused or the offer turned out to be different from the advert, the Comprehensive Report researches the seller and compares your account of the purchase with the public evidence, with a link to every source.
Will the report tell me whether the seller is a scam?
No. It presents relevant public Search Results with their sources, keeps your account and customer allegations separate from independently checked information, and explains what could not be established. The decision stays with you.
Can I upload receipts or screenshots?
Not at the moment. Type or paste the important wording, dates and amounts into the form. Leave out full card or bank-account numbers, passwords and ID numbers.
How is the research carried out?
Our in-house automated research tools search public sources, then an independent automated review checks the report against our evidence standard before delivery. A person reviews the report when automated checks cannot produce a safe summary or a relevant source link.
What if I think something in my report is wrong?
Email support@aduncovered.com with your report reference and the finding you believe is incorrect. We review correction requests against the cited sources.
AdUncovered is an independent research service, not a regulator, consumer court or law-enforcement body. Read our Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, or contact us.
